Though entry to this national park at Auli is limited, you can never afford to miss to explore it. The forest department authorities let only two groups of travellers to enter the national park in a day. The Nanda Devi park is only at a distance of 41 km from the town of Auli.
For its religious significance, Joshimath is extremely popular with pilgrims. This is the very place where the sage Adi Shankaracharya spent his days of enlightenment. Narsingh and Garuda temples are two major attractions for tourists coming here.
